Five Books You Really Should Read…

This article recommends five impactful books across leadership, self-development, and mindset transformation. Get reading to transform your mindset and personal development.

How Not to be a Leadership D*ckhead by Steve Sallis

I know I edited and published this writer but this book really is a gem! The title is controversial, but the content is invaluable. Although the book is aimed at leaders wanting to improve their leadership game, this book should actually be read by everyone. It is a guide to simply being a better human, of empowerment rather than criticism, of collaboration and teamwork and of knowing when to listen rather than speak, amongst many other life skills! The tips and lessons in this book will help you to get the best out of yourself and those around you.

Get Rich Lucky Bitch! by Denise Duffield-Thomas

I love this book! It’s hugely motivating and has some great advice for clearing money blocks and attracting abundance. It is not quite as ‘woo woo’ as you might think and Denise’s honest and down-to-earth delivery is both entertaining and inspiring - she really got me thinking, and I definitely actioned many of her strategies to good effect.

How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

I read this book over 30 years ago long before mindset and manifesting really became ‘trendy’. It’s quite incredible to think that this book was written in 1936 and is still as relevant as it ever was - it really was years ahead of its time!

You can go after the job you want...and get it! You can take the job you have...and improve it! You can take any situation you're in...and make it work for you!

Learn the six ways to make people like you, the twelve ways to win people to your way of thinking, and the nine ways to change people without arousing resentment.

The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle

It is a discussion about how people interact with themselves and others. The concept of self-reflection and presence in the moment are presented along with simple exercises for the achievement of its principles. Published in the late 1990s, the book was recommended by Oprah Winfrey and has been translated into 33 languages.

The Secret by Rhonda Byrne

This book in 2006, was based on the earlier film of the same name. It is based on the belief of the pseudoscientific law of attraction, which claims that thought alone can influence objective circumstances within one's life. Everything in life is made up of vibrations and I am a firm believer that you will attract what you give out! I loved the film too!
