Abigail Olaya: Stepping into Her Power and Guiding Others to Do the Same
For Abigail Olaya, entrepreneurship isn’t just a profession; it’s a calling. Over the past 15 years, she has built a vibrant and impactful career, starting with a wedding and event venue in 2009, expanding into catering, and later, finding her passion for coaching. As a mother to triplets, wife to her high school sweetheart, and mentor to countless individuals, Abigail exemplifies what it means to live a life of intention, grit, and heart.
Her journey into business began with a shared vision. Abigail and her husband, Edward, were determined to create a lifestyle that aligned with their passions and skills. After years of exploring ideas, they realised that their shared love of hosting and creating memorable experiences was the key. This revelation led to their purchase of a property that would become their first event venue—a leap of faith backed by sheer determination, a $15,000 loan from her mother-in-law, and an unshakable belief in their vision.
“Writing down what we loved and what we were good at made all the difference,” Abigail shares. “Had we not done that, we might have driven right past that ‘For Sale’ sign and never looked back.”
Building a Vision, One Step at a Time
The journey wasn’t without its challenges. With limited resources and a massive learning curve, Abigail and Edward leaned on their complementary skills—her flair for implementation and his visionary leadership—to carve out their path. Over the years, their venue has hosted more than 1,500 weddings, each one a testament to their ability to meet challenges with compassion, creativity, and teamwork.
“Weddings are emotionally charged events, but our team thrives on creating Wow moments,” she explains. “We approach every couple with understanding, knowing that this is their once-in-a-lifetime event.”

Coaching: A New Chapter
While her business flourished, Abigail felt another calling—one rooted in her own transformative experiences. Inspired by the powerful changes coaching brought to her life, she began guiding others to tap into their potential. Her programme, Freedom Unleashed, is a culmination of her personal growth journey, professional achievements, and heartfelt desire to help others reclaim their power.
“What I love about coaching is watching someone reconnect with who they are,” Abigail says. “It’s not about me having the answers; it’s about helping them uncover what’s already within them.”
Freedom Unleashed is a one-day transformational experience designed to challenge limiting beliefs and empower participants to take meaningful action. The programme has been so well-received that Abigail is already working on Freedom Unleashed 2.0, which will include extended support and even a dedicated app to help participants integrate the lessons into their daily lives.

At the heart of everything Abigail does—whether in business or coaching—are her core values. These principles, which include open communication, gratitude, and teamwork, serve as a compass for her life and business.
“Our values are what guide us, especially when things feel out of alignment,” she explains. “They’re not just words on a wall; they’re lived every day through our actions and decisions.”

With her family preparing for a year of travel, Abigail’s life is as dynamic as ever. As they explore the world together, she hopes to deepen her children’s understanding of themselves and the world around them.
“We want them to know who they are and to love themselves deeply,” she says. “This journey is about connection, adventure, and creating a foundation for their future.”
On the professional front, Abigail is excited to bring Freedom Unleashed to even more people, including a return to London in October 2025.
“I’m so inspired by the people I’ve met and the transformations I’ve witnessed,” she says. “I can’t wait to see what’s next—for them, for my family, and for myself.”
